When Can I Get My Allergy Shot After Receiving The Vaccine
If you are undergoing immunotherapy for your allergies, we recommend the COVID-19 vaccine and the allergy shot be administered at least 24-48 hours apart. While we have not seen any reasons for patients on allergy shots not to receive either the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines or the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, waiting 24-48 hours helps avoid confusion if a reaction occurs.

Dear Nmaac Patients And Family Members:
As the summer season approaches, please remain vigilant and continue precautionary measures as COVID19 continues to remain a constant threat throughout our region. As such, and in accordance with CDC and Mississippi Department of Health guidelines, we will continue to carefully screen all patients prior to each scheduled appointment. In doing so, we ask that all persons bring a mask to wear throughout their visit. Unless special circumstances necessitate otherwise, we ask that only the patient enter the clinic, and only one parent or caregiver accompany their child to their visit. This is to protect the health of you and your loved ones as well as our clinic staff.
In order to continue to maximize social distancing, we will continue to allow allergy shots and biologic injections to be administered in your vehicle. As temperatures increase, please notify our staff if you are unable to wait in your car so that we can prepare for other arrangements.
We will continue to offer telemedicine visits as able for all who feel uncomfortable or have concerns regarding in-office appointments, and for those at high risk. Please be assured that we are also taking every precaution with strict sterilizing/cleaning protocols at all times.
Please call our office with any concerns or questions. You are all in our constant thoughts and prayers, and as always, we are here to help in any way possible.
