Coastal Allergy And Asthma Savannah

The Allergists Of Coastal Allergy & Asthma

Coastal ENT Allergy Testing & Treatment

Our Board Certified Allergists Treat the CAUSE not the SYMPTOMS of Allergic, Asthmatic or Immunological Disorders.

An allergist is specially trained to diagnose, treat and manage allergies, asthma and immunologic disorders including primary immunodeficiency disorders. Becoming an allergist requires at least an additional nine years of training.

After completing their medical school training, our physicians proceed with a three year residency in either pediatrics or internal medicine before moving on to an additional multi-year fellowship in allergy and immunology. After completion of their extensively fellowship training, our physicians then need to pass a thorough professional board exam.

Coastal Allergy & Asthma

Specializing in the Treatment of Adult and Pediatric Allergies and Immunological Disorders.

At Coastal Allergy & Asthma our advanced diagnostic and treatment options begins with a thorough evaluation of a patients history and symptoms. Only after the evaluation will our physicians create a tailored patient treatment plan.

Coastal Allergy & Asthma offers the most advanced diagnostic and treatment options available in the Coastal Empire. We begin each evaluation with a thorough consideration of the patients history and symptoms.

Because of their advanced training, our allergists understand that an allergic, asthmatic or immunological disorder is more than just a runny nose, sneeze, cough, or itch it is the result of a chronic inflammatory state which, left untreated, will lead to illness, medication dependence, and a poor quality of life.

Many people just don’t realize how much better they can feel if their allergies and asthma were treated by a board certified allergist.

Allergy Testing And Treatment:

Allergies are among the most common chronic conditions worldwide. Allergy symptoms range from making you miserable to putting you at risk for life-threatening reactions.According to the leading experts in allergy, an allergic reaction begins in the immune system. Our immune system protects us from invading organisms that can cause illness. If you have an allergy, your immune system mistakes an otherwise harmless substance as an invader. This substance is called an allergen. The immune system overreacts to the allergen by producing Immunoglobulin E antibodies. These antibodies travel to cells that release histamine and other chemicals, causing an allergic reaction.Allergy SymptomsAn allergic reaction typically triggers symptoms in the nose, lungs, throat, sinuses, ears, lining of the stomach or on the skin. For some people, allergies can also trigger symptoms of asthma. In the most serious cases, a life-threatening reaction called anaphylaxis can occur.A number of different allergens are responsible for allergic reactions. The most common include: Pollen
